The force of the crowd is one of the most underrated and least understood aspects of our world.
We like to think that we’re rational individuals, making decisions based on our own observations and experiences. But we’re not. Not really.
At least, not most of the time.
Most of the time, we’re influenced by the people around us. We’re influenced by what they think, by what they do, and by what they believe.
This is both good and bad. The good is that it allows us to tap into the collective intelligence of humanity. The bad is that it can lead to groupthink and herd behavior.
We need to be aware of the power of the crowd, and learn to use it wisely.
